Escape From Monkey Island, the fourth and most recent chapter in the series, buckles its swash in this hysterical and challenging adventure game. The heroic Guybrush Threepwood returns to Melee Island to find his new bride endangered, his long-time nemesis Chuck LeChuck digging deeply into a brand new diabolical plot, and a big ol' ship-load of monkeys bumbling all about. Each seemingly useless item has a bizarre use for those clever enough to solve the game's riddles, so think twice before you try using your Pirate's Grog, your Old Cologne, or your..er, your duck. Lush animated visuals sway in the breeze of a flurry of puns, gags, one-liners, and jokes in this witty puzzler, as Guybrush valiantly trots off into adventure seeking a way to stop the forces scheming against him from unleashing the power of a terrible new weapon..the Ultimate Insult!

Yeah, this one was pretty disappointing, not going to lie, but I want to complete my DRM-free Monkey Island collection on GOG with this and Curse, so there's that.

Despite that certain problem introduced near the end(you might know what I mean) it was a great monkey island game, I enjoyed it and would love to have it on my GoG Library.

Escape From Monkey Island must be one of the best games in the Monkey Island series. Being the first of the series in 3D (and released in 2000), the graphics are incredibly rigid and bulky. But that is easily overlooked because of the brilliant story and beautiful, fun surroundings unique to the Monkey Island games.
Story:
Guybrush just married the love of his life, Elaine Marley, but as soon as they are back on Melee Island from their 6-month honeymoon, they find out that Elaine has been declared dead and a new guy is running for governor.
If that's not the worst of it, some Australian land developer named Ozzy (with an obvious disgust in pirates) is trying to buy out the entire tri-island area, turning the scurvy-ridden Caribbean into a family-friendly tourist attraction.
Guybrush must use his best insults and puzzle-solving skills to Escape From Monkey Island, all the while surviving the tourist infestation, keeping from being eaten by cannibals and looking for the ultimate insult with which to defeat Le Chuck once again.

Escape from Monkey Island tells the adventure of Guybrush Threepwood, one of the greatest graphic adventure characters of all times. With a first part that appeared a decade before (1990), the truth is that this story was really successful, and to such an extent that this game was the fourth instalment that they published, and that had long been awaited by its followers.
Guybrush Threepwood travels to the Caribbean.

An improved plot regarding the third part

In Escape from Monkey Island we will see how Guybrush and Elaine return from their honeymoon to discover that she has been declared officially dead and that their mansion is going to be demolished. And since Elaine is the governess of Mêlée Island, elections are called for, and Charles L. Charles looks set to become the clear winner.
Ending this farce, the elections and solving the fictitious death of Elaine, will be up to the players of this graphic adventure, that will see them return once more to Monkey Island.
The graphic adventures developed by LucasArts based on the Monkey Island saga usually have a very high level, and Escape from Monkey Island isn't an exception. Thus, enjoying the adventures of our favorite pirate once more is still entertaining and funny.
